And, as recently unearthed by a TSG Freedom of Information request, some great military portraits of Paul Newman . Newman’s Navy service began in January 1943. Keep in mind that while this image of a fresh-faced Newman, who died in September 2008 at age 83, looks like a mug shot, it is actually an official service photo.
